Fictional texts are used to help readers escape from their daily lives. They are full of adventure, humor, and diverse characters. To pull the reader into another world, the writing style is descriptive and appeals to all five of the senses: taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing.
Therefore, the author includes writing techniques like figurative language, whichs helps the reader feel as they are inside the story with the characters.
