we hear their song, and we're told here that Frodo knew a little bit of their language, which he would have learned from Bilbo, who would have learned some from his journey, or maybe from Gandalf, and then they meet elves who are also traveling through the woods, singing a song about the things that bring them comfort, and although they're not traveling across the ocean right now, a place that they
