The CD contains a WinZip Self-extracting Archive named:

MasterMEP 2010.exe 

Installation requires approximately 130 MB of disk space.  

Installation Location
*************************************************
Files MUST be installed on the C Drive in the "MasterMEP 2010" folder. The default installation automatically uses this folder. Simply click button on the CD ROM Interface, it will install automatically to the correct location. If you change the location, the first time you load any of the projects in AMEP, you will be prompted to repath the project. You MUST choose "Repath the project now" when prompted by AMEP. If you don't it is likely that the datasets will not function properly. You are HIGHLY encouraged to accept the default "C:\MasterMEP 2010" location for installation.

Please note that there is NOT a folder for every chapter. Several chapters use the MAMEP Commercial dataset. This folder contains a Project Navigator project. From within AMEP, you will load Projects from the Project Browser (on Quick Access Toolbar). Using Project Browser. Load the MAMEP Commercial project and then use the Project Navigator palette to open individual DWG files. Please see the instructions in each chapter for detailed instructions. 
    

Project Bulletin Boards and Dataset Updates
*************************************************
When you load a Project in AMEP, a bulletin board for that Project will load in the AMEP Project Browser window (on the right). Review this page as it loads. If you have a live Internet connection, you will be informed on this page if updates to the Dataset (or the book text as a PDF) are available for download from www.paulaubin.com. If an update is available, you will be able to click the link directly in this page. 


Template Folder

This folder contains some DWT (Autodesk Template Files) that are refernced by the chapter projects. Please do not delete this folder. 

Plot Styles Folder
*************************************************
The plot styles in this folder are provided for convienience. They are copies of the files included out-of-the-box with the product.
