Boobus Americanus

 

As America twitters and tumbles

And tries to hide its face in the sand,

Even ostriches wonder what is going on,

We’ve taken over all their sand and hiding places

Because we outnumber them so much,

Yes, they’ve ignored the drones that kill women

And children, the expensive missiles

That don’t care what they hit,

And we’ve cut food stamps

So the poor can starve, or by disease

Die faster,

And just yesterday, many fools dominated

Washington State, buried their heads in the sand

And said they didn’t really want to know

About the poison in their foods, 

Nor to find out how their food was

Genetically modified, better to not know,

So they voted down an amendment

That required food companies and stores

To label those foods that had GMOs poisons in them—

Thus It appears H L Mencken was right,

This is the land of Boobus Americanus,

Long may we wave our star spangled flags,

And never forget

To keep our heads buried in the sand
