is a person from Wheelock School adding compost to the compost bin.
We are saving the compost to put on the tulips. |
Cameron,
a Wheelock student puts the compost from that day’s lunch
into the compost pile. Then we sift the compost and put it on the
garden. |
Students
carve pumpkins each year for the Keene Pumpkin Festival. The insides
of hundreds of pumpkins are added to compost bins to create “hot
“compost which breaks down at temperatures above 100 degrees
Fahrenheit. |

This

The red tomato is his eye. The story that is told around school
is that “Jack of the Beanstalk” dropped a few seeds
and his horse grew out of the bean plants. |
