We
have just been awarded a Big Lottery Grant as our school grounds has been
designated a "BBC Breathing Places". Over the next few months
we will be building a pond as a safe haven for water voles and we will
also be planting a large garden allottment to grow our fresh fruit and
vegatables. Our tulip bulbs are planted in our new Sensory Garden.
Our ECO committee help with the garden and we have a Oak and Acorn Group The Oaks are the adults (grandparents) from a local Allottment - they come and show our Acorns (children) how to plant and look after the plants and shrubs. -Barbara James, The Long Eaton School, Nottingham, Derbyshire |
