Where are the other chicks? September 18 was a big day. Six of the birds followed the ultralight plane to join their flock mates—all at one pen. Chicks #602 and #606 did not want to follow the ultralight. On September 20 they changed their minds. They flew behind the ultralight and now all 18 are finally together in one big flock. In just a few weeks they will leave on their first migration!
