In an earlier, different thread, I was warned for the umtenthed time how difficult a jet boat is to operate. Especially at low speeds. Yes, this is my first boat. Therefore, I have no comparison. Is there really enough of a difference in handling and trailering to make it a big part of the buying decision?

Does the no wake mode on the Yamaha's and or the cobra fins solve some or all of the problems? Again, this is my first full size boat, so there is going to be a period of learning either way. Both are dual engine, dual throttle. View Public Profile. Send a private message to speniner.

Why deal with TWICE the maintenance and repair issues just to get the slight safety advantage of a jet? Plus, the good boats bad Good Boats Bad Boats And How To Tell The Difference Mp3 boats and how to tell the difference map record of those jets have not been the best out there A friend of mine is a dealer for them and yet I still won't invest in one.

He tells me that most of his customers are newbies that fall for the nice design and apparent fun lifestyle that those boats can supply. But after a short time as an owner, they are back to him trying to sell. And one final note I have never seen so many "leftovers" or "non-currents" as those type of jet boats. If you run skinny water like rivers in the Pac NW then a jet. Jets do not like kelp and weeds as they can clog up the intake. I run a jet in both rivers and salt. Its not the best choice for the big water but it works in both for me and I can only afford one boat.

You pays you're money and takes you're choice. Send a private message to jetboat Find More Posts by jetboat Originally Posted by jetboat Received 1 Like on 1 Post. Having friends with a Seadoo 18' Challenger and a Four Winns 18' bow rider, I'm surprised how different they are. The Seadoo - twins, nice for redundancy, more expensive for maintenance. My friend has had to replace both drives, each time he limped back to the dock on one enine - takes off like a rocket - great for skinny water - great for skiing and tubing no prop - does wander and is more difficult to dock The Four Winns - less maintenance - rides better Seadoo has flatter hull and is lighter - quieter twin rotax at rpm is a bit annoying after a while Both nice boats, just depends on what is more important to you.

I felt it was important to have a head on board so the 24 was the obvious choice. If you are on flat water, a jet boat is fine but what I learned is that the jet boats don't do well in chop and they wander all over the place at low speed.

The Yamaha no wake mode is almost useless. Send a private message to auntiepaula. Find More Posts by auntiepaula. Jets only steer underpower, takes some getting used to. Send a private message to Ryan H. Find More Posts by Ryan H. Info I should have shared in the original post. I have ZERO intention of going in the ocean. Thanks again for all of the advice. However, I'm more confused than ever! Maybe I'll just go buy an RV. Anyone have any advice on fifth wheel versus ball hitch RVs? Just Kidding! Florida R Mine had twin HP two stroke jet ski engines and was loud and vibrated the boat badly although it would run like crazy and turn on a dime.

The difference with the newer models is fuel injected four strokes and you have dual control of the reverse buckets unlike the older models. This allows it to act a bit more like a dual engine boat so you can have one engine in forward and the other in reverse for docking and. I haven't been on the newer models but the reason I bought the boat was mainly for water sports like tubing and skiing and my kids hated it.

The jets sprayed so much water into the air, that even with extra long ropes it kept stinging their eyes. With all that, I kept the boat one summer and sold it to a college kid who just wanted to go fast and turn fast which good boats bad boats and how to tell the difference map what that boat did.

I have heard from people with the newer models and the cobra jet good boats bad boats and how to tell the difference map that the slow speed steering was not as much an issue good boats bad boats and how to tell the difference map it was a problem with my older model.

LoweStinger 44 Posted March 14, Sailboats that need way more sail area than they should to sail well. I've looked at, and researched, both the Ranger Z and the Nitro Z Electronics Equipment Maintenance Techniques. With wreck removal, the cost of repairs exceeds the policy value and the boat is recovered, possibly in pieces, and disposed of according to local guidelines, generally at a landfill. My recommendation, buy a good used boat and you'll get more boat for a lot less money. That boat fished and ran well.

A hop comes with a cutters as well as beam bushings for these joints. Cookies. However will tiny qualification be protected when a ducks have been a many critical fish upon a river? Cut a fiberglass fabric in to strips which have been hardly longer than a hull's length.
