Each Ikon pass resort has a different policy regarding reservations this winter. At this time, we do not anticipate passholders needing reservations at Steamboat, but ultimately it will come down to a number of factors including the amount of available terrain and capacity limitations. We hope our actions of limiting stand-alone tickets and other approaches to reducing capacity will remain effective.
If reservations become necessary we will be sure to inform our guests and community. Before you arrive please review and commit to the Health and Hygiene Code of Conduct. Before You Arrive The key to a successful ski day at Steamboat will be arriving at the resort researched, prepared and ready to go. We ask that you be flexible in your plans this season and come with a good attitude.

Know before you go. Do your research and familiarize yourself with local health protocols before arriving in Steamboat, so that you know what to expect both at the resort and in Steamboat Springs Ski Resort Hotels 2020 town. Tickets or pass in hand. No single or multi-day tickets can be purchased on the day of skiing. For Ikon Pass holders, no reservations to ski and ride are required at this time. Please note: inventory levels may prompt online ticket sales to discontinue without notice, so do not delay in making your advance purchase.
Lift Tickets Please plan ahead as all tickets must be purchased in advance. Don't delay in making your online lift ticket purchase, as inventory levels may prompt ticket sales to cease on certain days without warning. Stand-alone Lift Tickets: In an effort to provide access to Ikon and Steamboat passholders, we have committed to restricting stand-alone single-day and multi-day tickets this winter. For future dates, stand-alone single and multi-day lift tickets must be purchased in advance.
You can purchase stand-alone lift tickets online or by calling Central Reservations at Other products, such as Outlaw Mountain Coaster , First Tracks and Night Skiing tickets must also be purchased Steamboat Springs Luxury Hotels English in advance and are available online now.
If you have a season pass or lift ticket you may ride the gondola without your equipment. Once we receive your request, a member of our team will contact you by phone to take secure payment for the tickets. You will then receive an email with a scannable barcode to print the ticket at one of our touchless Pick-Up Kiosks found at the base.
Tickets are non-refundable or transferable. Main Ticket Office: Please note that the Ticket Office and ticket windows have very little capacity this winter season.
The only services provided at the Main Ticket Office will be pass printing, add-on ticket purchases and issue resolution. If you have preordered lift, lesson or other tickets, we have touchless Pick Up Kiosks at various locations in the Base Area to print your tickets. Ambassadors will be at each Pick Up Kiosks location to help answer questions.
We recommend dropping your party off at the mountain first, so that only one person has to ride the shuttle bus back to the base area. To help reduce the number of people riding the shuttles, we have created a designated drop-off location at the base. Drop off: The Lower Knoll lot is designated for skier drop-off.
Overflow parking will be available on busy days. Shuttle Buses: Shuttles will be running from the Meadows lot to the Gondola Transportation Center and will remain free. Shuttle capacity is limited to 50 percent. We ask our guests to be patient and understanding if they need to wait for another shuttle due to capacity issues.
Visit our Parking page for more information and to view a map of parking locations. Dining We are at very limited capacity in our restaurants but have many take-out options for you to enjoy both on and off the mountain. Keep in mind that you may need to enjoy your meal outdoors or on-the-go.
Currently, indoor dining is available with seating up to 50 people. We also have many take-out and grab-and-go options for your dining interest. Most other restaurants in the local Steamboat area are open, with takeout, curbside pickup, or delivery options.
The Steamboat Chamber also compiled a Winter Takeout and Delivery Guide where you can find out which restaurants in the local Steamboat area are currently open for delivery, takeout, curbside pickup, and online ordering. Managing Capacity: To limit on-mountain capacity, we are tightly regulating stand-along lift tickets. Stand-alone single and multi-day lift tickets must be purchased in advance. We reserve the right to discontinue online lift ticket sales without advanced notice.
Lift Lines: Physically distancing naturally occurs from tip to tail when wearing ski and snowboards. Guests will also notice additional spacing measures, including extended maze designs and more lateral spacing to create a consistent flow of appropriately spaced traffic.
For the Gondola, markings and staff members will help create appropriate physical distancing when necessary. Riding the Lift or Gondola: Guests will self-group and load with their related party up to the original maximum capacity.
Individuals who wish to ride alone will be allowed to do so but may have to wait until demand allows a chair or cabin to be loaded with one person. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this will impact lift lines. Because of the closed cabin of the Gondola, additional safety measures will be taken.
Guests and Employees will be required to wear face coverings while riding in the gondola. Gondola windows and air vents will remain open to promote air circulation.
The Gondola cabins will be cleaned periodically throughout the day and, at the end of each operating day, with an Electrostatic Disinfectant sprayer. Rental Equipment and Shopping We welcome you to shop at any of our locations, but advanced reservations for equipment and rental fit appointment times are required. Reservations: Reservations for equipment rental is required at all Steamboat Sports locations.
Details for booking a fitting time are provided in an email following the equipment rental booking. You might need to wait prior to entering stores.
Many of our items are available online at Shop Steamboat. Other retail services: Unfortunately, equipment delivery is not available while the county is in Red level. Steamboat Sports Yurt at Thunderhead Peak is closed this year. Snowbike rentals will also not be available this winter.

Lessons reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. If a pre-screening indicates symptoms of COVID, the student will not be admitted to the class and the guest should contact Steamboat Central Reservations at to discuss their options. Half-day Options: Group lessons will now be offered in half day options to provide more flexibility for guests.
Lessons will be available in the morning from amam for kids and teens, ampm for adults or in the afternoon pmpm for kids and teens and pm for adults. Group lessons will not include lunch together. Students should make their own lunch plans.
This keeps our youngest skiers and riders outdoors in an open-air environment. As such, the KVC Mercantile store will also not open this winter. Private Lessons: Private lessons will be limited to 5 students per lesson for ages 8 and up. Group lessons will be managed to small group sizes. Group size may be smaller for younger age groups. Children ages 2. No group lessons are available for this age group. Lodges and Warming Options: Currently, access to lodges is limited for inside dining at a maximum of 50 people.
Lodges will be monitored by hosts to manage capacity. We will provide additional outdoor seating and warming options near restaurants, in Priest Creek, South Peak and Bashor.
Scenic Gondola Rides and Snowshoeing : Unfortunately, no scenic gondola rides will not be available this winter. Snowshoeing activities will be available at Haymaker Nordic Center this winter instead of the usual on-mountain access. Uphill Access: Uphill access is open this season but requires a permit and purchase of an uphill pass and armband to display while skinning uphill.
