Monterey Bay Whale Watch is a must visit if you are in the area! We saw 8 killer whales surfing in the swells and coming right up to the boat. Colleen and the rest of the crew were so excited which made all the rest of us excited! It was very educational, Colleen conducts killer whale research as well so She knows everything and it was so much fun learning from her!

The owner is a whale biologist and Captain! She understands whale behavior, which means she often predict movements and activities. It also means she knows how to navigate carefully when in an area with whales - providing an amazing experience to the passenger, and a safe experience for the whales. She trains her team to her same high standards, so you will always have an awesome Captain, as well as an extremely knowledge biologist onboard to share information about the wildlife.
Monterey Bay is also one of the best places in the world to see whales, with a variety of species using mlnterey nutrient-rich habitat for feeding, as well as migrating.

This trip was very enjoyable, even though the sea was a little rough. The crew were working so hard, not only making sure guests had a good time, but literally cleaning up after them; several people threw up and the crew were quick to take care of that! They did announce that every trip at least one noats throws up, so I guess they were prepared! Anyway, it was a beautiful day and we very much enjoyed our experience.
We saw six blue whales, which include a baby! There was a humpback and a mix of dolphins including tuxedos Pacific White-sided. We saw lots of my favourite pterodactyls, I mean pelicans! There were lots of sea lions on the rocks as we sailed away and when we returned to the dock, and I loved the sea otters nihht were gathered around the kelp. We also saw a great egret.
